WHO OWNS RAF HOLMPTON:
RAF Holmpton is part of the protfolio of 'AIR COMMAND' based at RAF High Wycombe. The 36 acre site forms part of the Defence Estate, which is a division of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, a Government Department that came into being in 2011
WHO MAINTAINS RAF HOLMPTON:
The site is maintained by 'JSU' our JOINT SUPPORT UNIT responsible for the day to day maintenance of the Land - Buildings - Technical Systems - IT - Engineering and Equipment.
IS RAF HOLMPTON STILL IN USE: Part of the 36 acre site of RAF Holmpton is used for military training - The former BT exchange building has been converted into a new COMCEN (2011) The ancilliary Surface Buildings are all in current use - And below ground in the Bunker: The Administration Wing is in daily use while Area 7 is being decommissioned ready for public opening in 2013. The remainder of the Bunker along with part of the Guardroom are open to Public Visits.
WHO PAYS FOR RAF HOLMPTON - RAF Holmpton is independently financed as an IFI (Independent Finance Initiative) and there is absolutely no cost whatsoever to the taxpayer.

THE ROYAL AIR FORCE HOLMPTON PRESERVATION SOCIETY
Our Objects: 'To Advance Education For The Public Benefit By The Establishment Of A Museum At Royal Air Force Holmpton'
The Society was formed on 1st August 2006 with the sole purpose of taking over responsibility for preserving, curating and presenting the Historic Collections at RAF Holmpton once the Restoration Programme was completed. On the 31st August 2011 The Society was registered as a Charity with the Charity Commission under Number: 1143594.
The Society holds in trust the historic collection together with the Film/Video/Photographic & Document Archive.
The Society will submit annual returns and reports as required by the Charity Commission.
In simple terms the purpose of the Society becoming registered as a Charity is to secure the long term future of RAF Holmpton's historic value to the nation.
