HAUNTINGS & SIGHTINGS HISTORY

  •  Royal Air Force Holmpton has over 60 years of history - During this time over 15,000 personnel have passed through this establishment - So there is a fair amount of basis for paranormal activity - The following information is all based on actual sightings and genuine historical fact.
  •  On entering the Guardroom people have been aware of a 'drunken presence' that of a former airman turned to the bottle - Heading down the Tunnel there is a feeling of being hurried along or even pushed and a feeling that 'secret things happened here' and you should not be party to them - On reaching the Security Area the figure of an engineer is often seen behind the grille - Descending to the lower floor there is again a sense of being pushed and in the Dormitory objects are often thrown - Opposite in the Support Command Area there is a 'chemical smell' and the feeling of being 'ordered about' and in this area figures have been sighted walking at a strange level half way through the present floor, this area is said to be visited by a very 'Officious RAF Officer' barking commands - On moving to the WMD Room there is a feeling of great intensity here the scene of a fatality back in the 1960's - A large man is often seen here along with a misty atmosphere and images of a hook near the ceiling - At the far end of the lower corridor by the Computer Hall Gallery a short and busy airman is seen rushing backwards and forwards between the doors and the staircase constantly on the move and the scene of another fatality back in the 60's - On moving to the Upper Floor the Cinema is often found to have a very strange atmosphere with people being pushed and hurried out - Few people have ever been able to stay in the room for very long (It was originally the Officers Rest Room) - Next door the ROC Room and the Officer Mess seem very quiet but in the Canteen there is reported to have been 'Poltergheist activity' and a young man who says 'He should not be here' is often seen - Opposite the situation room is usually quiet but the Commanding Officers Office and Bedroom are often active with voices and conversations being heard - Just along the corridor in the Hospital an older Nurse 'Margaret' is very welcoming and friendly and she often talks about a younger nurse who was badly treated and involved in some sort of accident - Finally in the Radar Operations Room a sense of urgency prevails along with once again being hurried and pushed and poked - The Ghostly apparition of an RAF Officer in full flying kit has been seen in the corner underneath the Alert Board - In addition numerous 'Orbs' and flashing lights have been seen along with figures hurrying past the small windows in the doors of many rooms.
  • We are fully aware of the past and documented history of the site and we are always happy to discuss the results of investigations before you depart, as quite often we can verify what you have seen from the sites long history.
  •  RAF Holmpton continues to be investigated and we will update this site with any further sightings as and when they are reported. (July 2008)
